• Eligibility: Students regularly enrolled at one of Lugano’s universities (USI, SUPSI, FUS) may apply.
• Application procedure: Students must form teams of 4 participants from the same university and register using this form.
• Application deadline: Entries must be completed by 22 September 2024.
• Team composition: Each team must consist of 4 students from the same university.
• Drawing of teams: If the number of registrations exceeds the competition limit, a draw will be held to determine the participating teams.
• Notification of participating teams: The selected teams will be contacted on 24 September 2024.
• Unsubscribing: Each participant may decide to unsubscribe from the competition at any time by notifying the organisers and their university in order to ensure a prompt replacement. If replacement is not possible, the university will compete with the available resources.

• Type of race: The race consists of a relay with two (or three) teams per university (depending on registrations) taking turns in a speed race within a defined course.
  The route will start from Rivetta Tell towards Ciani Park and end at the starting point. There will be three buoys to mark the 500m course. For pedaloes, the buoy will always be on the right-hand side. This route will take approximately 6-10 minutes. The first team will have to return to the starting point so that the second team can start and redo the route. The university that completes the route first wins. A judge will be present to award the victory.
  To allocate the pedal boats to the teams there will be a small draw at the start of the race.
• Start of the race: The race will start at 18:00 on 26.09.2024, once the teams are in position in their pedal boats. At the judge’s whistle the speed race will start.
• End of race and win: the team that first finishes the second lap of the course wins.
  The race ends when all teams have returned to the Rivetta Tell dock.

Award Ceremony: The award ceremony will take place immediately after the conclusion of the competition, during the Enjoy Lugano event on Piazza Riforma at 21:30. The presence at the award ceremony of at least one team representative is mandatory in order to collect the prize.

Prizes:
1st prize: Weekend with overnight stay in the Lugano area offered by Lugano Region and other surprises from Enjoy Lugano
2nd and 3rd prize: Vouchers in LVGA offered by MyLugano and other surprises.

• Meeting place and time for participating teams: 5 p.m. on 26.09.2024 at the Rivetta Tell pedalo rental pier. The race will last a total of approx. one hour.
• Safety: The use of life jackets provided by the organisation is compulsory.
• Weather conditions: The race will only be held in favourable weather conditions. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to the following day 27.09.24 at 18:00 at the Exhibition Centre and there will be an indoor team competition (puzzle solving).
• Rules of conduct: Participants must comply with the safety rules and instructions provided by the organisation. Any incorrect or dangerous behaviour will result in the immediate disqualification of the team. Collisions between pedal boats are to be avoided and may result in disqualification.
• Insurance: insurance is borne by the participant; the organisation declines all liability towards participants, spectators and third parties in the event of accidents, damage, theft and loss before, during and after the race.
• Photos and videos of the competition: Please note that the competition will be filmed with photos and videos for promotional and documentation purposes. By participating in the event, competitors implicitly consent to the use of their images for such purposes, without any compensation or claim of rights.
• Liability declaration
  The organiser and its partners accept no liability for risks of any kind concerning participants, in particular with regard to health. Participants are responsible for presenting themselves in a fit and healthy psycho-physical state and run at their own risk and waive all claims against the organisers and helpers. By registering, he declares his acceptance of the regulations.

In case of bad weather the competition will be postponed to 27.09.24 at 18:00 at the Lugano Exhibition Centre and will consist of an indoor speed competition, still in team format.
The format will continue to be a relay and will consist of solving a puzzle. The university team that completes the puzzle first will win.
