The Career Service of Università della Svizzera italiana aims to facilitate the qualified integration of its students and graduates into the world of work, through specific meetings and initiatives, facilitating connections with local and international professional realities. Its commitment is to provide students with the resources, tools and awareness needed to successfully tackle the transition from academic to professional life.
The Long Night of Careers is a prestigious annual event dedicated to the topic of careers and promoted by various universities and colleges throughout Switzerland. In Lugano, both the Università della Svizzera italiana and SUPSI organise an edition for their students.
Franklin University Switzerland students have the opportunity to connect with students and alumni for professional and social networking opportunities through the Franklin Network, a career mentoring platform created by alumni volunteers with the intention of strengthening the collective success of the FUS community by offering support in preparing for professional life after university. In addition, the Career Strategy office offers final-year FUS students the opportunity to participate in practical career planning and preparation workshops.

Support: mentoring and courses
Business Concept is an entrepreneurship course promoted by Innosuisse and organized by Entrepreneurship Training Ticino, in collaboration with USI and SUPSI. This program is free and provides participants with the theoretical foundations to start a startup. Through a combination of theoretical teaching and practical exercises, the course covers startup creation, defining the business model, and preparing an engaging pitch.
Innosuisse provides the Start-up Coaching service, which supporting young companies and founders through consultations, presentations to investors, and business partner introductions. The program allows obtaining the Innosuisse Certificate, attesting readiness for sustainable growth. Start-ups receive assistance in developing strategies, structuring organizations, and addressing legal aspects.
USI Startup Centre provides support for the initial steps of entrepreneurial ideas, fostering economic and social growth. Positioned strategically between higher education and the economic environment, the center is a gateway to a dynamic community of researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and investors.
